Religious monuments :

Saint Michel Church and the Chapel of the White Penitents.

Monastery of the Annonciade : 230 metres above sea level, Our Lady of the Annonciation is still the soul of the town.

The russian Church : The church was built in 1892 by the Architect Tersling on the initiative of the Grand Duchess Anastasia.

Maria Serena Garden : Every day, the Service du Patrimoine organises guided tours of Menton exceptional gardens. Located on the italian border, Villa Maria Serena was build around 1880 by Charles Garnier, the architect who desinged the Paris Opera House for his friend, Ferdinand fr lesseps.

Its tropical and sub-tropical palnts thrives in this delightful place with its unique view over Menton and the Old town.

The Garden of Serre de la Madone : Designed between 1919 znd 1939 by Major Lawrence Johnston, creator of Hidcote Manor park in England, the Garden of Serre de la Madone contain a rich botanical collection. Major Johnston planted rare trees here, brought back from his numerous travels in Asia. As well as its botanical intrest, Serre de la Madone is also a remakable piece of architectural landscaping with its pounds and fountains which create a well-preserved atmosphere of calm.
Fontana Rosa, the novellist’s garden : A listed historic monument since 1990, « Fontana Rosa » is designed for reading, an inspiration for novelists. On of its most beautiful features is « Cervantes’ rotunda ».
Val Rahmeh botanical gardens : This garden created by British botany enthousiasts, is now the Mediterranean branch of the National Museum of Natural History. In the Val Rahmeh exoctic botanical garden grows the only Sophora toromiro, the legendary tree of Easter Island, which thrives in the soil under the sun of Menton.
Menton and Jean Cocteau : The poet and painter Jean Cocteau, who so loved Menton had the bastion restored. Thus, this small fort, originally built in the 127th century to protect the town, became a museum dedicated to the artist.
Bastion du port : Jean Cocteau also decorated the Wedding Hall in the Town Hall in 1957 and 1958.
